 Diversity of Technology

Ada Lovelace was born in 1815 in London, England. She was privately tutored and then self educated herself in mathematics. Charles Babbage created a digital computer prototype, in which Ada Lovelace created a program for. She realized programs could use not only numbers, but also the alphabet. Ada had been interested in Charles Babbages' work since 1833. She then translated and annotated an Italian mathematician and engineer's work on digital computer programming in 1843. It's not too often you hear about Ada Lovelace and what she contributed to society and technology. Ada Lovelace's was in a time where women didn't have rights and were undermined by men all the time. As times change I hope that encourages people to discriminate less and open their eyes to what can be.

Emmit McHenry was born in 1943 in Forrest City, Arkansas. Emmit created a code which allowed the general public to search the internet and use email services without having to be educated in the subject. He graduated college with a degree in communications and then founded his company, Network Solutions. He had created what we now know as .com, .net, .gov, and .edu. Being a person of color these accomplishments mean much more since he had to work harder in his field. The racial bias in the world hold back people of color and don't expect much from them. We need to dismiss these mindsets and treat everyone just as equal. We all have the potential to create something amazing.
